  1. depends where you are talking about, some beaches allow them. i am sure if your on private property in the country your probablly fine but check with your local fire authorities before you have one.  


  2. Yes they are but due to recent fires some areas are still closed, others are taking reservations for the up coming Memorial day  type in, bonfires in calif. parks and beaches it will give you all the information you need.

  3. The beaches in California only allow bon fires that are made in pre existing fire rings, not just put on the sand. My favorite northern California campground to do this at is Doran beach in Sonoma county. There fire pits are right on the beach.
