  1. I'm a lacto-ovo vegetarian, and I drink Boost very often (college student with no time to have a decent breakfast). I made some research, and yes, they're suitable for a lacto-ovo vegetarian. Just in case, here's the ingredient list:

Water, corn syrup solids, sugar, milk protein concentrate, vegetable oil (canola, high oleic sunflower, corn oils) and less than 0.5% of soy lecithin, carrageenan, salt, artificial flavor, vitamin A palmitate, beta-carotene, ascorbic acid, sodium ascorbate, vitamin D3, vitamin E acetate, thiamine hydrochloride, riboflavin, niacinamide, vitamin B6 hydrochloride, folic acid, choline bitartrate, vitamin B12, biotin, calcium pantothenate, vitamin K1, calcium carbonate, ferrous sulfate, potassium iodide, magnesium phosphate, zinc sulfate, cupric sulfate, potassium citrate, potassium chloride, sodium selenite, chromium chloride, sodium molybdate, manganese sulfate.

In addition to the above: Chocolate BOOST contains cocoa processed with alkali and ferric pyrophosphate (instead of ferrous sulfate); Strawberry BOOST contains Red 3.

  2. Yes they are. I am a vegetarian and I also work at Boost, so drink them all the time.

All Boosts are suitable for vegetarians - including the Omega booster which is vegan. Normally omega comes from fish oil but the ones at Boost are vegan. Not sure how it works but it is!

  3. To be sure, check the ingredients, thats the only way to be positive.

  4. Umm...beweare of "natural flavors".  They don't need to be named and almost always come from protein or egg sources.  It's amazing how many people refuse to believe this or simply ignore it!

That is also a very unhealthy pile of stuff, I'd say.
