Are both these sentences correct?

1. Were you nervous on the first day of class?

2. Were you nervous the first day of class?

Answer 1

The first sentence is correct

but the second one needs a comma

Were you nervous, the first day of class?

they look alright altho first one sounds more correct

I honestly think they are both correct in grammar, punctuation, and spelling.

yeah both sentences are written properly even though we all are mostly used to the second one. lol
