  1. In Britain we value our children regardless of gender. In fact most men dote on their daughters much more than they would a son.

  2. i don't agree with that at all

  3. God nooo.. Most real men would not mind at all and just be happy with a healthy child..

I have had a few pethetic matges thta got pregnant and dred to find out its a girl because their fellas want  a boy!!!

I would not allow my self to get pregnant by these narrow minded people!

  4. this is britain its the strong favoured over the weak!

  5. i want a girl and no son. i would value a girl above anything else in this world

  6. Britian seems to be the capital of political correctness these days. Governmentally i don't think boys/men are favored more, but generally with regards to families i think its a father-son thing. Carry on the family name, look after the family.. It depends on the couple really

  7. My parents seem to think so anyway.

  8. Boys are as important as girls in Britain and girls are as important as boys.

  9. I am Caucasian Canadian, so my heritage traces back to France and Great Britain and I must say, alot of men that i know, that are married and having children, would most likely prefer a son. The sons carry the family name which for some reason is very important to alot of men. Guys just like guys man. We are easy. We don't need much. We are simple. Females on the other hand are a bit different. I know for a fact, most girls need a little to a lot more attention then boys.

I know if I ever have kids I don't care if it is a boy or a girl. I will be happy as h**l just to see my kid pop out healthy with no problems. But I can't lie. Something instinctive inside me would be a little relieved to have a boy for alot of the reasons I listed in the first paragraph.

  10. This is from people I've talked to only and may not be true for the general public, but most men I talked to either didn't mind either way or wanted daughters, while most women wanted sons, which is quite odd.

In general I think males are seen as more important overall because of the traditional role, but females seen as more precious thus are protected more.

Personally I think people should be seen equally but I doubt it'll happen within my lifetime if ever. It's ingrained in society too much with things like females being the care givers almost always and males not being allowed to hit females (even if they're being kicked in the balls/threatened with a knife/attacked by them) and so on.
