Are brown recluse spiders in new york

Question

i live on long island. and there are huge jumping spiders in my basement and they look like brown recluse spiders... could it be?

There have been cases of brown recluses being shipped accidently outside of their natural range, but such cases are not common.  New York is pretty far outside of their natural range though.  I don't know of any "huge jumping spiders that look like brown recluses" though, and have never heard of brown recluses jumping either.
