  1. no my first car was a 73 super bug i had it from 87-93 and it never left me broken down on the side of the road. i did have small problems with it like blown fuses and blown light bulbs and a few flat tires but nothing big they are very dependabill cars but when they do break down it will cost you quite a bit to fix.

  2. They are very reliable cars.

The newer ones just have some electrical problems like all German cars.

Power windows getting stuck and fuses.

They are very easy to maintain.

In Movies that feature the car, they always talk about how easy it is to maintain and how it lasts long. Movies like "Herbie"

They are pricy to fix sine they are German cars.

  3. I don't think so,  I have had about six's bugs from a 62 to 73 model if you get one the is running good they are pretty easy to maintain. parts are not that bad at all for prices.
