  1. On current form, they are on fire

and can make the top 4 for sure, and could give the flag a go.

Adam Cooney is looking good early for the Brownlow

  2. 1. No

    2. No

When the out of form teams start to win a few games the Bulldogs will slip back down the ladder - as they have done since Adam was a boy.

When was the last time they won a flag? I'm not old enough to remember!

  3. i dont know how they are still winning their games coz i dont think they are playing good footy. but i think they do have a chance at staying in the top 4 but i dont think they will win the flag this year.

  4. Yes and yes

The Bulldogs were the major underachievers in 07 so there not rebuilding just trying to fine tune what they already have remember Geelong underachieved in 06 and we all know how good they were last year.

Top 4 for the Bulldogs they have talent all over the ground and don't rely on a few stars to get all their goals

If they overachieve in 08 the dog house could well be celebrating in September

but it will depend on how will they perform during the 'business end' of the season (after this weeks break) a lot of teams come out in the beginning of the season killing all opposition only to find themselves worn out by the middle. Champion teams should be hitting their peak around now! It seems to me the bulldogs hit their peak already. Hopefully they didnt peak too early otherwise they may not have enough grunt to make it to defend a top 8 position.

  5. The way they have been playing I would say that they have got a pretty good chance, and good on them.

I feel for the doggies; my son tells me that they have only won one premiership in their time and yet media attention always focus's on Geelong and St Kilda suffering the drought!

Good luck to the Doggies, I hope they get their turn to excel at finals footy. It's a shame that their truly great players have missed out on that premiership medal!

By the way, I am an Essendon supporter.

  6. if we keep playing like we have been, and continue to be hard at the ball and run, then i cant see why we can't finish top 4, and have a red hot crack at geelong and hawthorn, who are also great teams, and who knows may come out with the flag. well i hope so anyway.

  7. The Bulldogs may well make top 4 this year due mainly to a vast improvement in their game but also in part to a falling away of former top teams such as West Coast, St.Kilda & Port Adelaide.

Improved they maybe but not to the extent that they will seriously challenge Geelong or Hawthorn in full flight.

  10. Yes James, i think the Bullies can finish top 4, they are going great, they fixed Sydney up in Sydney which isn't easy to do, helps that your coach has coached a lot of the oppositions players but the players still have to beat them, i took Sydney, fool, i am.

If they finish in the top 4, they will have huge chance of winning the flag, depends on what side of the draw you finish, you don't want to come up against geelong or hawthorn, but you probably will. if they get into the grand final, anything can happen on the day, one thing to remember is their fade out last season, losing their last 7 games, i think, can't do that again, injuries will be a huge factor with the bulldogs, get a few big names go down and it could crumble very quickly.

  11. I defiantly think they will make the top four but don't no about the premiership teams like geelong and Hawthorn maybe just a little too strong. But good luck to the bulldogs anyway they are an exciting team.

  12. I agree that the Bulldogs finish to a season has been a problem but he fitness that they have developed by only taking one month of before starting pre-season should see them through the year. I don't think the Bulldogs have hit there peak yet they have so much more potential in the side than they are showing at the moment.

I think the top three will stay the same with Geelong finishing on top and the Bulldogs and Hawthorn in 2nd and third but no idea what order. probably Doggies 2nd. I think the Dogs may just fall short either in the preliminary final or the grand final. Just from past experience the preliminary finals tend to kill the doggies.

  13. No.

Not if their captain keeps carrying on like he has been of late.

He wants the rest of the team to kick it to him everytime it comes into the forward line - no matter what the situation is. Then if he doesn't get the ball he throws his arms into the air & complains to the umpire.

I reckon Eades will wake up to him soon & give him the boot. Johnno's more of a hinderance than a benefit. He's played his 300 games, so, personal gains over, give the game away.

  14. Yes of course! The Doggies are a great chance to make top 4 but I think winning the flag is out of the question.

  15. Bulldogs are the most underrated side of the year.

They are the quiet acheivers who will most likely finish in the Top 4.

Go Doggies - do us westies proud :)
