  1. We have both, a male bunny and a female Golden Retriever. There surely are pros and cons to both.

If you take the dog, she is a true friend, very playful, you can tell when she is really happy or really bored :) As any friends, dogs require care (=time+money) - feeding them, walking them, playing with them, training them, visiting the vet from time to time for the regular vaccinations or check-ups.

Bunnies may require less care, are definitely smaller and (say) less time demanding. They are very cute, you can take them almost anywhere, they will just fit into your pocket when they are small. However, a bunny will never run towards you when you are returning home, obviously happy to see you again... and you will never be able to really hug a bunny :)

  2. I have a dog (GSD) and my cuz has a rabbit, i can definately say that a dog is MUCH MUCH more playfull and loveable and affectionate. rebbits run away from you and are just "there to look pretty"

    BUT

if you cannot afford the time and effort you need to put into a dog, then just get a rabbit. Even if you get a free dog THEY ARE VERY expensive in the long run, (with food and accessories, leashes, meds, vet bills, insurance etc.).

Dogs - however big or small - need ALOT of attention and time.
