Are cable movies like Charter HBO copy protected?

I used to tape HBO, etc for later viewing on either VHS or my DVD recorder. Is this still possible? or are they now protected?

    They are not protected. You can put them on a VHS or DVD for your own use.

    It would be illegal to sell or give away copies.

  2. you can still record them for personal use.

    copyright just means you can't go and sell them.

    but i don't see no problem with saving them for your own use.

    WHY DO YOU THINK THEY MADE DVR'S!!!!
