Are cancer men supposed to be affectionate?

They are definitely supposed to be affectionate.  He could have other things going on in his chart that make him less so. I'm a Cancer and I love to cuddle, hug, kiss, and express emotion through touch.  MOST Cancers are this way.

maybe he has other influences in his chart, we can't base personlaity on sun signs, there's more to it . . .

They can be, but they are more prone to be like a crab, always walking sideways around things, burying themselves in the sand, "pinching "you when you don't see them buried in the sand, and you accidentally step on them. do you catch my drift? I have a cancer guy who is very sweet, but he can be aloof. He's also good at being sneaky, and hiding his emotions when he needs to.

I've dated 3 cancers (I'm a Sag) and none of them were affectionate enough. They were constantly switching between being emotionally clingy or emotionally distant.

I'm a cancer female and if i don't know you or get a bad feeling about you, i hate to be touched or even looked at, however i'm only affectionate to the ones i really love or like.  A good guy friend of mind is a cancer and he's very touching feely....  just depends

Astrology says so.. but I believe that people are who they are from their upbringing.  

People are what they are... The stars give good advice but they can not define who you are.

I enjoy reading the horoscopes too.. but if you read them all you find a little of yourself in all of them.

According to astrology, Cancer men are supposed to be among the most affectionate.  

That said, I don't believe in astrology.  It's sort of fun to think about, but really, the idea that people born during a certain time of year sharing the same personalities seems pretty far-fetched.

Going off sun signs alone yeah they're supposed to be very affectionate. My current Cancer man is affectionate to me, but its not everyday and every time we're together. We have our times when the whole day or 3 is all full cutesy things to say and hugs and kisses all the time.

You really have to touch a Cancer man in a certain part of his heart for him to show you his affectionate side more often.
