Absolutely, but the SX110is is now out so you should get that one instead. You'll get a few extra refinements including a big 3 inch screen. One of the "easiest" things about this camera is the use of AA batteries. Like any P&S camera, it has a full-auto mode so you don't have to do any thinking.
