  1. It depends on how important music is to you.

  2. well i eat sleep and S**t music...its my life. i wud say my system WAS worth the $

  3. Not if you wanna hear the bump bump

  4. It's not a necessity, but it makes for good entertainment on long trips.

  5. To be honest. I bought a $975 dollar system, 2 10's with an Alpine amp, and a Cd player at world hi fi. Okay, I have friends who have 2 12's and 2 15's, and mine sounds 10x's better, It is so worth it. Dont get the cheap stuff off the streets. Also my girlfriend loves it. She, when I first got it before she heard it, would say when I would talk about it, her ex had on she knows what it is. Well the first time she heard it a huge grin was on her face the whole time. Because with a store bought, (not walmart) not downing them, its just you pay for what you get. With a actual good system You can hear every word clearly with no static, she says his wasnt but about half as loud, and it was staticy where you couldnt really hear the song. So I said all of this to say if your getting one, MAKE IT LIGITAMENT!

  6. No sir. I would say most aftermarket stereo installs are going to be way better than the in-dash system you have already. Plus, some also give you the freedom to expand on the setup you have later, such as the addition of more speakers and sources, bluetooth calling/audio, and/or the full integration of your trusty iPod without the use of cables or adapters. Basically, if you are a music aficionado you will most likely enjoy the upgrade. =]

  7. Even really high quality car stereo equipment installed properly won't last a very long time due to the inheren environment they have to contend with, temperature extremes and moisture will take their toll. Investing the same money in home stereo equipment will get you something that can last for years and years

  8. 4 me it is, i live in Detroit so some1 will steal it, like they did wit my cousin system. b******s!!!

  9. I look at it this way. If you want a car audio system that has better sound or more flexibility, then it's certainly worthwhile. I'm currently debating on a new deck that will play MP3 cds and/or have a plug in for an MP3 player. I don't drive much, but I would like to have access to a greater selection of music without having to fumble through a bunch of cds.

If you're looking for a car audio system just because you want others to hear you go by then save your money. Also keep in mind that such a system will make you a bigger target for theft.

But it ultimately comes down to what's important to you. If it's important to you to have a system that rattles the windows of the houses as you drive through the neighborhood, then it's not a waste of money.

  10. Yes, its totally worth it. Think about how many b*****s will want to ride with you?

    & you'l impress your friends.

Plus its just sweet, and lets me relax with the strong bass.

Just do it, afterwards you'l be happy.

Just at least spend 800$ and get decent stuff and it will be SO enjoyable.

  11. No way .. i just picked up a all-in-one DVD unit from car-audio-direct.com

Now the kids can watch dvds while I drive and they dont get on my nerves..

  12. if you have a crappy car or install it wrong then yeah

  13. Not at all.

Strong sound systems make long road trips that much more bearable. They also can help you make a little more $$ when selling your car. They are also transferable to a new car if you'd like to keep what you have purchased.

Besides, having things like Satellite radio or iPod connectivity makes your car that much cooler.

  14. Depends on if you do it right or not..... A cheap crappy system is a waste of money.....
