Like why shouldnt a Ford Fusion 4cyl cost less than a Ford Focus when labor cost are 80% less? And its a free trade country? Or why Hemi engines should be cheaper than rival engines when they are assembled in a lower cost country?

  1. Don't buy these American cars and stick with the more realiable makers such and Toyota and Honda.

Quality control in these Mexican plants are a joke.

  2. WELCOME TO THE REAL WORLD.

EXPLOITATION AND MASS DECEPTION IS THE DRUG THAT AMERICANS  ARE CONSUMING EVERY DAY.

JUST LOOK AT YOUR COMMERCIALS ON LOCAL AND NATIONAL TV.WE ARE ALL SUCKERS AND THEY KNOW IT.AT SUPER BOWL GAMES "THEY" SPEND MILLIONS  TO SUCKER YOU IN. I'M BEGINNING TO THINK WE ARE A NATION OF FOOLS.

  3. The answer is more complicated, and it's not as black-and-white as you think.

Ford/GM/Chrysler have to pay out so much per year toward pensions, insurance, etc. for their current and former employees. This number has grown so much in the past decade that one figure has GM paying out almost 50% of its annual revenue toward pensions. That percentage will only grow as GM loses sales to its Asian competitors.

Although most folks are fans of labor unions in this country, this is the one glaring example where it has backfired. Each time a lineworker gets a raise, it eats more and more into the automaker's profits. So, what alternative do they have? They are being forced to send work overseas or across borders.

  4. all manufacturers fleece people al around the world. nothing new about it,.

  5. It's call capitalism. The business of making as much money as you can.
