I was just wondering because these carnivals that just pick up and go just dont seem that safe to me because these rides are being on the road and everything and are constantly being put up for your enjoyment. Im just worried that these rides arent being taken care of as much as amusement park rides such as those at six flags.

  1. I would say Amusement park rides are definetly safer.

  2. You just answered your question the way I would have answered.  Even though Disneyland has had its share of mishaps and deaths on rides, usually accidents happen because the person was not obeying the rules or not behaving properly on the ride.  Weight on a ride can also be a problem. Where you put an obese man in a car the front, the back, the middle, the side can have a factor on any ride.

I do not go to my local fair and I do not care about the traveling carnival rides anymore.

I would rather go to Disneyland instead and I have never had a problem with any of the rides there except for a couple times that was my own fault. Make sure you watch your step loading in and out of a ride. Make sure you are secure in the ride.

  3. No!  They are not designed or properly maintained like the parks.  Amusement park rides are inspected daily before the park opens and the coasters at least weekly.

  4. Amusement Park Rides are much safer than Carnivals because they have employees that do maintance unlike Carnivals who just put the ride up and left the Ride Operator to do all the work..

Amusement Parks are much safer! Trust me I worked at one for 2 summers. Owned by Cedar Point

  5. Carnival rides are less safe.  For about the reasons you said.

  6. Amusement park rides are alot safer than carnival rides. They test amusement park rides every day to make sure they're safe and they have to follow state regulations. I don't think carnival rides are very safe. One time at the fair I saw someones restrants come open when they were upside down on one of those rocket rides. Luckily they didn't fall out but it was scary. It was right after I got off of it in the same seat.

  7. in reality, carnival rides are actually safer , do to the fact that they are inspected evey am and pm b4 closing, they are in a more rigorous inspection circuit due to the nature of these rides, no one has ever been hurt or died in a carnival ride, how many at disneyland died on a ride, think about it?
