I notice lately after gathering alot of information about new cars, its crazy how technology is. From cars that can park thereselves to cars that you can actually press a button and put it on "electric mode". my questions is, with all of this technology on cars now adays are the safer? Do you think more people care about having a car that can park itself or a car that can save lives in accidents?

  1. safer and more dangerous.

bigger and strong cars are safer but causes more damage.

take the H2 hummer,it can basically destroy any car in a crash due to it's design to take heavy punishment on and off road. bigger is hard to fall.

  2. I think as a general rule, most cars are safe.  Its usually the drivers that drive them that make them unsafe.

  3. Some vehicles are getting safer but at the same time it is making many people get lazier thus creating for danger.

  4. i think they are dangerous becouse. they go faster and are made of flimsy material

  5. h**l NO!  They are breeding ignorant drivers that are becoming reliant on the vehicle to protect them over common sense and good defensive driving habits!  Here is an example. Honestly, How many people that have more than a few phone #'s "stored" in their phone (so that all you have to do is look up or say a person's name) Can remember all those phone numbers?  Before that was possible, Most people had committed to memory between 10 and 20 phone numbers.

My wife (The Dumb S) has developed the wonderful little habit of never looking behind her when backing since her new car has radar collision avoidance on it, Which is suppose to beep,if you are about to hit some thing.  She found out to the tune of $1500 damage that unless the object is large enough and centered ON one of the sensors,  it is VERY easy to smash the #@$% out of a phone pole.

  6. There is no such thing as a 'safe' motor vehicle...The only time a vehicle might be called 'safe' is when the vehicle is unoccupied and the motor is turned off - and that is probably about 98% of the time...There is nothing in any vehicle that will prevent a collision, nor is there anything that will prevent any occupant from being injured...Any vehicle maunfacturer that advertises that their vehicle is "SAFE" is guilty of false advertising.

The self-park capability, along with all the other bells and whistles on vehicles today, is designed to appeal to the "I have more than you" mentality of drivers...If the driver does not pick a space big enough to park in, the self-park feature  isn't going to solve the problem...Buyers of vehicles never buy them for the purpose of saving lives in accidents...More likely, the attitude is "I have a vehicle that I can depend on and that I don't have to worry about breaking down and that will maybe have good fuel economy."

    Good question...All the best.
