  1. from personal experience id have to say dogs

  2. id say dogs.

  3. depends on how often they go outside and where

for example i have both and out where i live we have more ticks then fleas but since my cats like to go out and all cats like to be in a small area like a cave iwould say cats get more fleas and ticks then dogs

  4. It's not so much the species as the animal's setting. A dog or cat that spends a lot of time outside is more inclined to pick up fleas than a dog or cat that is kept mostly (or entirely) in the house.

  5. It really does not matter ... if the animal is going outdoors... you need to protect him by placing a flea collar AND a liquid flea system from the back of the neck to the very end of its tail... for dogs i suggest sentry pro... for cats... hartz makes a pretty effective solution that does not contain permethrin which can be harmful to felines..

also walmart or kmart or even ace hardware sells a spray that can be attached you your hose and be sprayed across your lawn to rid it from these pesky parasites... remember if the animal gets them... they usually lay their eggs in furniture and materials in the home... once they are in.. they spread like wild fire...

hope i was some help to you

    good luck

  6. it doesn't matter if they are a dog or cat..... what matters the most is who remains indoors or outdoors....

outdoor animals are at higher risk of getting fleas and ticks

  7. both just as likely, depends on the environment. cats often pick up fleas from hunting infested rodents
