Are ceiling fans in style? Or are they out of style??

I've noticed that on HGTV and other home improvement programs that when they improve on a homes style they always seem to remove the ceiling fans and replace them with chandelier type light fixtures. Are even high end ceiling fans out of style now???

I don't think something as useful and commonplace as a ceiling fan is ever going to go out of style.

The people in those shows end up putting the ceiling fans back on. Ceiling fans are good....they save energy. I have one in every room-even the bathroom.

i like them a lot and they are useful. i like the unpainted wood ones and i think its cool when people use them as an accessory and paint them a cool color.

style is personal and so is function.  if you like or need the fan, then keep it.  there are many styles of fans that can complement your decor choice.  so choose one and be cool!

High ceiling fans are never a good idea. They are way too much trouble to clean and never really do anything when it comes to moving air down to where you are.

If the ceiling is more then 8 feet, then its kind of a waste. Invest in a tasteful stand fan.

If the ceiling is low enough, fans are always in. You can always get a fan/light combo.

I think that they might be a bit dated in general, but they are so functional.  I personally love my ceiling fan and would not get rid of it.  It save so much in energy bills during the summer months.

They are practical and I think that this is always in style...

I guess you just need to select a modern one. Enjoy.
