  1. They are very easy to instal. Just remember to isolate the electricity while you're wiring it up.

  2. Relatively easy to install.  But please get a friend to help as they are quiet heavy.  The dimmer switch would not make a difference, but should be turned full blast, and kept there.

    Peace.

  3. my dad bought one but took it back the fan has to be screwed to the ceiling joist as the fan will be heavy so you will have to find that

  4. make sure you get a qualified electrician in to install. also ask electricians  advice on suitability before unwrapping fan.

  5. you cant use a dimmer also balance the blades as the fan will rock at speed, easy to install but s***w to joists, great way to cool a room and cheap

  6. Yes, they're easy to install.  I'm female and have installed 4 myself over the years.  I didn't have to do any new wiring and wouldn't have been able to do that if it had been needed; I'm not able to install new wiring.  The hardest thing for me was managing the weight when lifting the fan overhead and I didn't have anyone to help me.

  7. yes they are easy to install, but they are heavy and need securing very secure, preferably to the joists or a nogin in between the joists.

i had mine on a dimmer and never had a problem with it.

  8. hi, i had to have my dimmer switch removed when mine was fitted. ceiling fans are wicked especially when its really muggy.

  9. Make sure you s***w the razor sharp fan blades in properly.I know many people who have been beheaded for failing to do those screws up tight enough.

  10. They are easily installed by any competent DIY enthusiast.

    1. Turn off the mains electricity.

    2. Remove the existing light fitting.

    3. It will usually be right next to a joist, it's important because of the weight of the ceiling fan, to know exactly where the joist is for you to s***w it into, if you can't see the joist, use a bradawl or small drill to find it, the small holes will be covered up by the fitting or with filler.

    4. Follow the instructions for the wiring and fitting the ceiling fan.

    5. As long as the light is NOT fluorescent, you can certainly retain the dimmer switch.
