  1. People need to grieve, to mourn the dead. Cemeteries, while not the most space efficient ways of going about doing so, fill a crucial emotional need for society.

    Crematoriums are probably better though.

  2. yes they are. its the only way people accept death is if they have that person there in some way like in a grave or urn. they way they never feel apart. its the closest thing we have to feeling closness. i think.

  3. Get education here is a PBS moment and hang cuff yourself to a post in cementarie and show R E S P E C T to the dead even if you don't believe ...

    Cementarie Link:

  4. my family believes in cremation and that we should return to the earth but everyone has their own beliefs

  5. For some religions, yes.  Jewish people believe that the bodies of the dead must remain intact to be resurrected at the end of time.  However, other religions require the body to be completely destroyed (as in burning) to allow the soul to escape to heaven.  It all depends on the culture.

  6. I believe they are an important part of society but I heard they are running out of space...

  7. no these days it's just a way to make money

my parents had to pay every five years just to keep my grandfather and uncle's graves...and when they couldn't pay for it anymore... they(i don't know how to call them) took the bodies out of the graves and just dumped them with other bodies in one big grave...eeewww

  8. Golf courses take up more land space than graveyards.

Religious arguments and ethics aside, it's one thing to bury the dead in order to avoid the stench of the decomposing body and, quite another to promote mass cremating...we had enough of that at Auschwitz, Belzec, Sobibór and Treblinka, to name a few, during the Holocaust.

  9. cemeteries are as necessary as any other product in a free market.  If people want it, they buy it and are happy.

  10. Not really... if everyone agreed to be cremated instead of being buried. Cremating would also prevent a lot of the ground polluting (through coffins).

  11. Cemeteries are NOT necessary in my opinion because when we die our souls go to heaven and our body stays hard as a **** en rock, and then we are in the ground and we get eaten by all kinds of  bugs and lil Maggots and etc. and after we are buried into broken bones like a skeleton LOL when we are Cremated we are with out loved ones forever in a beautiful jar at home or we can spread where they want to be spread... that's my way of going to be cremated.

Your soul goes to heaven either way.. God brought our souls here so he will take our souls as well :)
