  1. ceramic pads decrease stopping distance and have no squealing at all. the dust is very fine and you cannot see it at all. i have been putting ceramics on cars that come into my shop for years and my only recommendadtion is that you change the rotors when you put the pads on as the pads will outlast the rotors. but your getting on the average 60k miles or more on the brakes very excellent idea.

  2. Yes and no.

These pads are really really hard. That means thy will wear slowly but you will have to replace the rotters. Thy tend to warp the rotters over time.

You will know this when you apply the breaks and it feels like the break peddle is pushing back when you apply the break

  3. I think they are worth the extra cost. I recently changed the front rotors on my '03 Nissan Maxima, and replaced the pads with ceramic. They stop alot better and the dust problem is just about gone.

I also changed the pads on my '04 f-150. The aluminum wheels would get black with brake dust in a weeks worth of normal driving. Now they stay clean forever

The pads for the Maxima came from Advance Auto Parts, and were a store brand.

The pads for the f-150 were Hawk ceramics which I purchased online.
