I just need a concise answer with as little of literature as possible, since I have found many sites about the subject but everything deals with the topic in much longitude.

I am a little short on time right now.

Thank you!

  1. I suppose you can have a genetic predisposition for it, but I don't think it is very likely.

People that have AVM are usually born with the disorder, but it does not cause a problem until the late twenties to early thirties.  It is fairly easy to fix, but does require surgical intervention.

  2. Some are definitely hereditary, others are isolated. Some individuals with a hereditary form may live an entire life without problems, others may die from it at an early age.

If your family is affected, make the time to investigate.
