  1. Its another addition that isnt always needed but people like.  It tends to look a bit better in photos or if the colors are totally off.  but pink and gold would look fine.

  2. I didn't use them for my wedding and it didn't take away from it one bit.

  3. Yes because they just fall on the ground. I am so glad I dicd not get them because didn't even notice the chairs. But notice what was on the tables.

  4. Yeah i think they a MASSIVE rip off, but i feel, unfortunately, i have no other way round having them (all suggestions welcome haha) My wedding theme is deep red and ivory. So the place where I'm having the reception only have 'white' table cloths and i refuse to pay to hire table cloths too - so this has peeved me off a bit BUT the chairs are YELLOW & GREEN..... i know that no one will probably notice but for piece of mind on my behalf and so i know it looks good i have decided to hire white (to tie in with the table cloths) chair covers and red sashes, it's costing a bomb and something i have not budgeted for as i didn't realise a bit of cloth was so expensive but hey ho, this is a wedding, think of a price and then treble it !!!!!

  5. NO! I;ve always believed those chair covers are for the people who want to have the "perfect" wedding, the illusion. THERE IS NO SUCH THING! I say no to the covers, save the money and relax! It's your day. ENJOY IT!

  6. Nobody would care. I actually think the chair covers are not worth the money. Also, they can make the room look to froofy, but that's just my opinion.

  7. No-if you can avoid it, absolutely don't bother with chair covers. The only reason we got them was that the chairs were extremely ugly with chipping paint. The covers were costly, and we didn't even buy the sashes (we bought spools of cheap tulle and handtied bows)-they did the job of hiding the eyesore chairs, but if the chairs had been half-decent quality, I wouldn't have even bothered: no one notices, and you can totally use the money towards something else. And Gold will look fine with pink and silver-it's all romantic and soft. No worries! :)

  8. yes, ripoff. NO ONE will even notice, unless your chairs are really gnarly and ragged don't get them

  9. It all depends on how you feel about it yourself, i think it would look silly, but that's only my view on it, if you really want to do it right, then get the sashs, it would cost less if you could make them yourself or know someone that can. Theres a lot of stuff about weddings that is a waste of money, but you still have to have them. Would it work out cheeper if you changed your colour theme, or found somewere that has the chairs to match your pink and silver theme.

  10. I think they are a waste of money.  You are payin extra for where ppl put their butts.  lol  spend that money on the honeymoon, or a nice dress, or money towards a house!

  11. i think it depends if its a very imformal weding no people wont really notice, but if you are like me and like things to match and look go the yeah xxxx

  12. No. the only person who cares is you.  they will say 'Oh, the bride was so happy / so sulky' - not 'omg the chairs did not match'.

  13. i dont think people are going to notice the chair covers full stop!!!

ive never been to a wedding where they have had chair covers and thought wow thats pretty!!!

it is a complete rip off and waste of money,

i would spend the money on something else!

  14. yes, but most parts of a wedding are

fancy paying £3,000 or more for a dress that you only wear for one day, yes I know you can sell it but lucky to get 1/3rd of the price

  15. No - seriously, your guests aren't fashion critics. They don't expect you to match every piece of furniture in the room to your wedding colors. Save yourself some money and skip the chair covers - no one will even notice.

  16. Those chair covers will get most of your guests to "ooh" and "aah" when they first walk in.  Then it's over.  In fact, they'll get twisted on the chairs, they're a pain when your moving the chairs (even tucking them under you to eat), they NEVER fit right (no, really...never).

Around here, covers go for about $3 - $5 each.  Multiply that by the number of CHAIRS (which is bound to be at least a few more than the number of guests) and it's quite an expense.

How many people do you think are going to be sitting in the chairs and admiring the covers at the same time?  Once you sit, it's ruined.  By the time everybody is up and dancing, you're lucky if only 10% of the covers has been removed or shifted.

My vote is to save your money.  In the end, they don't look better, they look worse!

  17. Not only are the a rip-off, they're also ugly!  I think simple chairs look a lot better... and no one really notices them anyway.
