Are child molestors allowed to have children?

a good friend of mine recently married a guy who is a convicted child molestor. he is on probation and will be off in august. but talking with the people here at the office, they said that a registered child molestor is never ever allowed even to have children, and keep them with him. is this true?

I know that as long as he is on probation that he can not be with out a designated person being in charge which could be your friend. How ever once he is off probation there is nothing any one could do about it. How ever I would not want to be in that for me to each there own and I do believe people can change with the right therapy.

I was surprised to read that registered s*x offenders in most areas can have their own children taken away from them regardless of the nature of the conviction, that is, even if it had nothing to do with children.  I imagine the consequences and requirements vary from state to state, though.  I can't imagine that they can stop him from having kids, maybe just from keeping them.

well they will take it to court and if it is over ruled then he will be allowed but if anyone informs them that he is molesting that child or any other child the child may be taken by child protective services

You have a moron for a friend, the fact that your are asking this question means your friend suffers from the same affliction.  Yes, they can have kids, what will your friend to then? have the child molester use the poor kid for practice?  If she wants to have kids, perhaps she ought to consider who the father is before she climbs into bed with a child molester.  She is beyond stupid she is sick.

Unfortunately, it is not true.  I have heard of instances where convicted child molesters have children and the child is not taken away until there is a current complaint filed with child protective services and the social worker finds reason to take the child.

No, my brother who wasn't guilty was convicted of that, he was 21 and the girl said she was 17 (legal by Texas law) and had s*x with her to only find out she was only 14! I was o pissed, believe me! Anyway, he is now married to his best friend of like 10+ years and knows everything and they just had their baby, everything is okay. He is now 26 but has probation for like another 3 years and will ALWAYS have to register as an offender. It's really crappy considering she lied and even told the officer and her parents that. Now he has a really hard time getting a job around kids and he had nothing to do with then. Makes you really open your eyes to who and who isn't an offender out there. Some guys just got the **** end of the stick...

A lot of people should need a license for kids, but unfortunately, anyone can have kids. You need a permit to build a deck and own a dog, but anyone can crank out a couple kids and s***w them up.

what you all need to remember is that paedophiles are incredibly manipulative and clever people.  How do you think they get children and their carers to trust them in the first place??  This is why the majority of sexual child abuse is carried out by someone who is close to the family!

no, a lady my mom works with married one, and she just had a baby, a couple months ago. But thankfully there marrige didn't last, they got a divorce a month after the baby was born. THANK GOD

I don't think that the authorities can control if a child molester chooses to have children, unless....unless he is on chemical castration treatment, which suppresses his libido and desire towards s*x in general.

It probably depends on which state you are in, but basically, once a con is off probation and has finished doing his time, the law really has no jurisdiction over what he does or how he lives his life.  Will he have to register as a child molester /sexual offender?  Yes, that's is a requirement in many states(not sure if it is in all states).  Will the cops still watch him?  Only if he hangs around places where kids are, acting suspiciously, etc, or if someone in his neighborhood notices  that he is trying to get close to children(if they even realize that he is a child molester).

Remember that there are various levels of sexual offenses in regards to the under aged.  If, for example, he was 19 and had s*x with someone who wasn't the legal age to give consent, even if she was more than willing, it is considered a s*x offense/sexual molestation.  Then there are the true pedophiles who pray on kids.  That's the range of s*x offenses.

The other sad thing is that many s*x offenders molest their own kids, their kids' friends, etc.  Or they marry women with young children and molest them.  I don't think that a molester can really be prevented from having contact with kids, one way or another.
