Are childhood toys important to you?

Question

To my mother.... they are, but for me, there not important. I dont see any point keeping them in sake of 'memorys' because all memorys are in your head a toy isnt really going to remind you unless it works in sync with your brain.

The most loved toys of mine, Legos, Books, Bears... ect...

to me are not important.

Out with the old, in with the new I say....

i say if you dont use your old toys give them away! i hope your mom doesnt like to collect everything of yours!

I donated a lot of my old toys when I moved out of my parents' place, but I kept a lot of the ones that were really important to me. The one that I treasure the most is a doll given to me by my grandfather before he died.

Your memories aren't always easy to retrieve, and sometimes it's nice to have a visual or tactile trigger to help bring them up to the surface. That's why I've kept the ones that I did.

childhood toys are important to me because they entertain me and you can have fun with it instead of fun that is getting attacked by 500 pounds fat boys.

Yes, I don't keep many of them. But I love the memories I have of my toys. I also still have my teddy bear that I have had since I was born.

they're not important to you until you forget about them,

then if you see it you get the memory and a rush of nostalgia

the museum of brands near portobello road in london has the robert opie collection,

he collected stuff (by decade) that spans 100 years. i went with a group ranging from 11 to 60 in age  we all got something out of it, and seeing my old board games from the 70's was great (the clothes i ididnt need reminding of )lol

i would never give away some of my toys. actually, i am holding a teddy bear i have had since i was five rite now. (he is dressed in a London Gard outfit!!)

Yeah, i have a couple of toys i wouldn't ever throw away in a million years.

its nice to be able to have something which reminds you of back in the day, its all about wether your a nostalgic person. Im a hoarder and very nostalgic, but a lot of people have the same personality as you, you would obviously rather look forward than look back, which is cool.
