Are chinchillas chill?

or are they hyperactive little rascals? I know they are really cute and soft, but I've never held one. So, do they let you hold them in peace or are they squirmish and impatient? I want one that is slow and lazy so that I can hold it as long as it doesn't p**p in my arms.

I am sure it depends on the chinchilla, but my sister had one that was very hyper and skiddish. He wouldn't let her hold him and was scared of everything.
