Or are they used anywhere else? Also, does anybody know how many are in use, because there constantly seems to be one flying over my house.

  5. donald trump owned one that carried clients from nyc to atlantic city.

  6. No, our Prince William uses one as a Taxi

  7. It seems to be primarily military, except for maybe NASA, and the Helifor one. Check out the link below from Wiki for more Chinook info.

I think it would be AWESOME to have one flying around my house, because I love Helis, and get all excited when a Blackhawk flies over.

  8. No, some fat people use them too. pmsl

  9. You must live near an army barracks up on a hill I'm guessing.  They are used to drop in supplies and troops.  If its night time when you hear them more than likely its a British army barracks being  de-mobbed if your over in Britain.  I'm from the north of Ireland when the chinooks are used its either to drop supplies and men in or as it is now to take stuff out, if its a de-mob theres should be two spotter copters hovering nearby as well when the chinook lands or takes off.

  10. This bunch of sites will tell you a lot about the Chinook.  There are even guys who have flown them in both military and civil rescue ops.
