Are chocolates allowed in carry on baggage at Boston Logan airport?

I have 4 packs of chocolates(8 lb) which I am taking for my family in France.I am travelling with Air France. Will the security at Boston Logan allow it? Are carrying chocolates allowed?

  1. I work for American Airlines as a ticket agent. TSA will not stop you from taking chocolates on to a plane.


  2. I don't see why carry on chocolates would be a problem but you never know.  Just to be sure I would check them.  The only risk would be melting during loading of the baggage on a very hot day.  Once in flight that will not be problem as the cargo compartment is kept pretty cold.

  3. Chocolates are one of the things that security sees every day.  They are available in the stores in the airport and at duty free.  So they are not only allowed but so common as to not bring any comment at all.  Trust me, you won't have any problem.
