Are christians today a good example for the world?

I'm not talking about all the christians. I just want to see answers from the people who've seen the religious christians and got the wrong idea of Christianity.

There is not one single mention of Jesus in the entire Roman record - that is right - not one!!! At the same time as he was supposed to have been around there were a number of Jews claiming to be the messiah - all of whom are well recorded!!

Outside of the bible he is not mentioned in anything until many years after his supposed death!!

The Roman Emperor Constantine produced the bible and he was a pagan not god!!!   He also organized Christianity into the Holly Roman Catholic Church!!  Not in Israel or any of the countries of supposed origin but entirely Italian!!

What a wonder full disinformation and deception campaign he waged against his Christian enemies - so good in fact that Christians are still following the deception to this day!!!

I look at Christians and think -whatever happened to the loving god they used to have?!!!

No, nowadays when I think of Christians I think of bigots who pick through the Bible to find reasons to hate people.  I know that not all Christians are like that, but those are the loudest ones.  These same people seem to support wars that kill tons of people while judging others for ending pregnancies before the fetus is more than a few dozen cells clinging to the wall of the uterus.  It gets me really really frustrated to be hated by people whose messiah said that the Greatest commandment is Love.

i was just thinking about this.

christians these days for the most part are so close minded.

i come from a christian family.

and i just dont think it's for me.

thinking about it today,

the bible says god loves everybody.

yet it says

if you're not a christian, you're going straight to h**l.

whether you're a good person or not.

it is ridiculous to me,

and i cant believe that would be the case.

because heaven is supposed to be a wonderful paradise.

but if my hindu friend can't come with me,

that's going to put a damper on it.

i just dont think i can believe in it.

Many times people like you expect us to lie to you to make you feel good. After being offended at what we say, you then go on a rampage on how we are so judgmental or whatever. But to answer your question many are and many are not.

I know a lot of Christians that are not ignorant like they are stereotyped to be. I am Catholic but I also follow Tibetan Buddhist values.  I do know some Christians that think other religions are satanic. Although my teachers (Catholic) always taught me that even if you weren't Christian you would go to heaven, and I never really even liked the bible. Even from a young age I knew it was an invention of man. But I embrace other cultures and am the opposite of closeminded. So what if the bible says this and that. I think the main lesson of religion is to be kind to your fellow man and to love one another.

There isn't a single person Christian or otherwise, that I would change places with.  I have all I have and will ever need.  Christians have NEVER taught the world anything but how to be ignorant.

But yes they are a good example of the world today,  the world filled with wars, and lack of attention for our environment, the world that is falling apart, this is a sad Xtian world.

I am agnostic, which means that I'm kind of in between with my feelings. I don't believe, but i don't disbelieve..

Personally, I hate christians that shove faith in my face. It gets old. They give America a bad name because they are so closed minded. Life is too d**n short to be living for some random higher power that you read about in the bible.. pshhht.
