Are class reunions therapeutic or traumatic? What about family reunions?

I do not really think either could be traumatic.   For me, at least.

Those family links with whom I have a strong aversion to (excepting my sister in Washington)  are mostly in the States,  and would not rather attend a reunion with me hosting it, anyway.   So, there's no chance it would be traumatic for me.

A class reunion is something I've been looking for for many years.  Sadly,  I have not attended any yet.

Added:   I have always been the host of Family Reunions.  The venue has always been my place in Marikina.  Wonderful time, these family reunions.

Therapeutic.  I always look forward to class or family reunions with much anticipation.  I enjoy seeing friends and relatives, specially those I haven't seen for a long, long time.

it really depends on your purpose. if you enjoyed your high school/college days and you want to see how everyone's doing or if you want to reminisce the good, old past then it can become fun. However, if you want to be there because you want to show off your car or you want to let everyone know how successful you are ( and how others are failing miserably), then it may not be that nice of an experience.

family reunions? again, it depends if you like that side of the family. if it's going to be an event full of people getting drunk until they collapse; relatives who keep showing off whatever they have; worse, if you are the only one spending money on this reunion-- then, never mind. it wont be fruitful.if it's the exact opposite, then go ahead, enjoy the day.

Definitely, therapeutic. More foods, more chitchats, more showing off (cars, jewelries, gadgets, expensive clothes, travels..) lol

Well,Not all but some are really like that in a class reunions and even some of the family reunions but not that much.

class reunions i don't know about since i haven't been to one.

my family reunions are great since I have a big crazy family & they're really good cooks. so, it's therapeutic for me.

Therapeutic,

I love to embrace the people of my past. I do not care who is doing good or bad. They are apart of my childhood memories.

Since tomorrow is not promised to anyone, you never know when you will see them again. It could be the last time you see them.
