Are coachings really necessary for gmat??

for a under-graduate in his/her 2nd year.which time is suited to give the gmat test for abroad studies in post graduate program?are coachings really required for preparing for abroad studies?

  1. GMAT is simple enough to give without coaching. It depends on your math and english skills. If you are really weak in any of these two areas (or both), then coaching will be necessary.

    If you have good math skills (which I believe you should since you want to do an MBA) and good verbal skills, then the GMAT is not at all difficult and can be quite easily conquerable without any coaching aid.

    Coaching is ridiculously expensive in regards to the GMAT and you don't learn anything new..

    Check out some GMAT forums like scorechase online and test yourself how good you are. Then make a decision.

    Since GMAT Scores are valid for 5 years, its a good idea to give the test during the third or fourth years of your undergraduation.


  2. Practice tests will help you a lot. I have found a short online assessment test at http://www.wingmat.com/gmat-diagnostics.... This in turn will help GMAT aspirants know their strength and weaknesses.
