  1. no a healthy cocktiel will have only 10-12 hours of sleep only

    in the middle of the day they might fluff up and stand on one legg on the perch looking sleepy that means that there relaxing

    only a healthy bird will stand on one legg

    butt take your cocktiel to the vet just in case


  2. No not really. When I had my cockatiels (Bingo & Coco) they weren't really heavy sleepers. Actually they were very sensitive to the slightest sound whenever I came in the room.

    Just always make sure to put a cover over their cage to make sure they have a good nights sleep. :)  

  3. no i have one and because thy cant see in the dark when i walk past his cage at night he hisses

  4. They are so long as they are not high upon their perches! Then they sleep with only one eye closed.

  5. They weigh the same whether wake or asleep.

  6. No it is always good to leave a night light on for them to avoid having them flutter with night frights, hurting themselves inside the dark cage at night.
