If a man and a woman had been on a couple of dates and the man went back to her house and saw she had collections of My Little Ponies, Care Bears figurines etc - would that be a deterrent for men to continue dating?

  1. I can't imagine why. I still collect figures, mostly Transformers, but I occasionally buy other toys like LEGO and Star Wars or comic book action figures. Those women who are turned off by my interests are not people I want to be with longterm anyway. I am not turned off by your collecting. If a guy likes you and wants to maintain a relationship with you he's going to love you for who you are. So long as you don't let your collecting dominate your life to the point where it detracts from your relationship with others, I don't see what the problem is. I'm guessing you're seeing a guy you like who has expressed some concern about your hobby. Well, you have to decide what is more important to you--him or you maintaining your hobby to his exclusion. You'll have to decide this for yourself, but I can't believe there can't be some common ground between you two. You accept some of his foibles and he learns to accept some of yours--that's what love and life are all about--give and take. Good luck to you...and if it doesn't work out, there are plenty of other fish in the sea. Maybe it's time you went trawling.

  2. I think it is cute:) As long as they dont take over the relationship, they should be fine! Good luck!
