Are collinear points also coplanar?

Okay so i am taking geometry and one of my questions are Compare collinear pints and coplanar points. Are collinear pints also coplanar? Are coplanar points also collinear? Explain. And honestly i have no idea what I'm doing the teacher explained it about 8 times and i just don't get it. help me :)

  1. Collinear points can be coplanar; but all coplanar points may not be collinear.

    It takes 2 points to make aline & 3 points to make a plane.

  3. Colinear poins means you can draw a straight line that goes through them all. If there are two points, then you can always draw a line that goes through both of them. If there are three points, then they might be colinear or they might not.

    Coplanar means that you can position a plane (such as a large flat sheet of paper) so that all the points are on it. For example, the top point and two of the base corners of a pyramid are coplanar, because all three of them are in the one plane, the flat sheet that goes up the side of the pyramid.

    If points are in a line, then it is possible to put them on a flat sheet. But there may be points on the flat sheet (such as the three pyramid points I mentioned) which are not all in a straight line.
