  1. It depends on your local ordinance.

    In San Francisco, there's no restriction other than the truck cannot violate existing size limit on certain streets and existing parking zones.

    In Anaheim, they do have an ordinance that says commercial trucks and buses are NOT allowed to park overnight on residential streets.


  2. Usually and in most areas even ordnances that restrict commercial vehicles make exclusions for local delivery.  If a trucker lives or is visiting someone it's considered a local delivery.  Every zone is different though.
