I mean seriously people can't hardly pay for their gas at that rate so do they stop working all together. Honestly, I've been number crunching and you can't pay for basic food and housing on it. Another thing how can people work three jobs when you can't hardly find one job? How would you even work three jobs when most companies expect you to be available 24/7 for just their company? I just don't see the logic of how our system is supposed to work it makes absolutely no sense. So how can companies even keep people when they pay people so low they can't afford their gas to and from work?

  1. Minium wage jobs aren't meant to build your wealth on. Some people do take a minium wage job for the HMO insurance. Its also a two way street. Its not the Employer's fault. Remember you came in looking for the job. You have to ask questions, like is there an opportunity for advancing? How much time are you willing to put in to achive your money goals?

  2. in my years of experience the problem is cyclic

unless wages increase laborers get dissatisifed with work and look for better jobs.

when i worked for minimum wage of 3.35 hr a government job paid 4.50 hr. it was great work and better incentive.

    YES

when companies oppress wages labor leaves.

and right now even with states increasing their minimum wages most people are now making less than they did last year, even though it looks like more on the paycheck

if you calculate a 1% inflation rate for the last 2 or 3 years on a monthly basis and consider 3% or 4% or even 10% in one day, the value of money is worse than it was in the 1980's and specifically last year alone

  3. Typically, people don't take minimum wage jobs because they want to, it's because they have no choice.  If they have no choice because they don't have the skills or education, they tend to stay at their jobs.  If they took the job to get by until they could get something better, they leave as soon as they can.

  4. Because if the people are in a minimum wage job, that's the best they're going to be getting, or else, they would go for something higher up if they have some assets to provide.
