  1. one answer is almost right

you have very little option but to have a condensing boiler fitted unless you meet certain criteria and can have a non-condensing. its part of the building regs so law.

the other answers refer to combination boilers which are one type of condensing boiler, they are NOT the same thing. whether its a condensing combi or non-condensing doesnt make much difference in performance only efficiency

get a good one and you reduce the chance of faults and get longer life

  2. Yes we had one fitted  at the end of Spring. We are a family of four, and even with the water on for two hours in the morning, and two hours at night I have ample hot water to do 2 or 3 loads of washing, and washing up by hand, and showers for all. The system is much quieter than the last boiler we had too. We have just had our gas bill for the first time since we had it, and it is less by £8 than the boiler we had previously, and I cook by gas too.

I suppose the reports you have heard of may have been from someone who didn't have a good installation. I really am being honest in saying that the condensing boiler we have is excellent.

  3. someone tell me to buy shoes from http://www.tradeshoes9.com He told me although in it the shoes are high quality copies,it feels wonderful and have little discrepency with the true branded shoes. i have visit it and have found the shoes i like as below.but i do not know if it is really very well, can you give me a favour to check it?

  4. A big combi can cope with almost any demand. Condensing combi's are very efficient, about 94 to 96 percent. It pays to buy the combi with the greatest HW flow as they modulate their output to the CH to match what is required.

  5. Good for energy use etc but only if you live alone as they cant cope with 2 people in 2 showers and someone running the water to wash up all at the same time.

  6. We had a gas one installed in our last property and it was fantastic.  However, as with most things, you get what you pay for, so go for one which will be able to cope with the demands you have, plus a bit more.

One thing though, you will lose your airing cupboard.  So why not route a duel fuel radiator into the old airing cupboard with a thermostat on it?  That way it will be centrally heated in winter and electrically heated in summer.

  7. My neighbour has one for a family of 4.She as 2 disabled sons who need them high powered baths & she swears by hers.Ironic i have BG

coming tomorrow for a quote on getting one fitted.

  8. If you need a new boiler, then you have no choice but to have a condensing one, it is now compulsary if you need to replace a boiler.
