Consolidated Is probally the TRUEST to sk8ing that there is. They are ANTI corporate and campain on trying to keep companies like nike OUT of sk8boarding. With sk8ing becoming more and more popular, big corporations are trying to capitalize off sk8ing, I acutally just say a commerical for Clariton yes the alergy medicine with kids sk8ing and a frickin JC penny commercial depicting kids sk8ing in JC penny clothes...

Anyway> Consolidated makes awesomes decks that hold up great and have lots of pop, and when you buy a consolidated skateboard, KNOW that your contributing to true skatboarding> This is a company that pretty much started in a skaters basement, and is all about keeping sk8ing sk8ing and not a fashion statement JOB .. Its all about having fun.

Is that a brand?  I go by shape of the board.  I look for something that looks like it will have good pop and is light but not to flexable.  I don't care what brand it is because after an hour of grinding nobody could tell anyway.  I grind the tail, middle and nose up pretty quick so even the art on the bottom is meaningless to me.
