not really the bottom of the shoes tear easily so i'd go with new balance or nike

Lord no. They have NO ankle support, they're flat, they're not very well cushioned so they don't absorb the shock and can hurt your knees as well.

You're way better off getting a pair of sneakers. Tennis shoes. Something with some padding and support for your food and ankle.

I have been running for 8 years now. Though I am biased towards Nike as a brand, I would recommend you to go to a running-specific store, like Fleet Feet in Carrboro, NC. They can help you find the right shoe because people buy shoes that aren't necessarily right for their feet, but more comfortable or fashionable. But after you get the correct shoes or even if you haven't, I would go to any major athletics store and ask the sales associates because they are getting paid to know the products they are selling. But make sure you state the use/reason for buying the shoes. Good luck!!!

Do not think so, you should aim to buy more supportive shoes, check in the "Running" section of any shop or online shop.

With Converse or any other non-specific shoes, you could injure yourself.

I have been using these for some time now, with heavy uphill jogging and no sores on my feet, they stay tied, no calluses. The price is a bit high , but its well worth it.
