  1. Cordless phones use NI-CAD batteries & it is best to run them as far down as you can before recharging. Your battery will last longer that way. Although a NICAD batteries are concidered a dry cell they still have a gell in them. Continuely charging them will dry them out & make them go bad.

  2. Yes, it needs charging.

  3. You can leave it in the base with out any problems.

  4. I just put mine in the base at night.  It is usually off all day.

  5. No. Just until the phone is dead or almost dead.  I just found that out.  I have a cordless phone and kept it on the base all the time.  2 years later, all the battery's are dying and I have to replace them, but the replacement for the battery's are so expensive it would just be cheaper to buy whole new phones.  So again, no, it's not good at all.

  6. i dont think it does. we leave it on the base all thetime in my house and our phones have been working properly for years! dont worry about what that other person told you =]

  7. I don't keep mine like that. So I'd say no.

  8. You should try to keep on the base as much as possible but it doesn't NEED to be on the base in less it has a low battery.

  9. well i think that rechagable batteries in phones r different then other rechargables becuase that people keep it on the base and with other batteries if u only partly drain it, and chage it, u can alter it's memoir yes rechagable battereis have a memeore of how long to let it charge and how much to chrge it. but i think that yr ok we do the same thing (i almost get grounded for a day because the 2 phones we have i had them upsatirs and they were almost dead)

  10. i keep mine in the base when i am not using it and i keep it off wen i am not close to it and nothing is wrong wit it

  11. no only keep it there when the battery needs to be charged. whoever told you that is an idiot

  12. Keep it in the base. Why? It will not ruin your phone, once it stops charging it will automatically be on standby and will stop current from charging in. Leaving it out of the base after charging will only ruin battery life, its not a 1960 phone, charging stops when its full and its safer too keep it in the base to reserve battery span life.

  13. no. thats c**p.
