Are things completely out of control? Are people getting kinda angry? Its the government, stupid. The economy shows that, i think.

  1. Actually special interests have pretty much always run our Congress, we just get to see it now as our politicians have made ousting them from office next to impossible.

  2. Yes, definately.   Look at all the money they give to our candidates: http://www.opensecrets.org/

Do you think they would give them so much money if they weren't getting something in return?

One more thing, they also control the country through the media, in fact I think that is the main tool they use.

  3. Franklin D. Roosevelt said it best: "The liberty of a democracy is not safe if the people tolerate the growth of private power to the point where it becomes stronger than their democratic state itself. That, in its essence, is fascism - ownership of government by an individual, by a group or by any controlling private power".

Like lobsters languishing in a pot of lukewarm water, we won't start screaming in agony over our own apathy until the water starts boiling over. Then it will be too late. Then we will wake up to find ourselves being ruled by a private totalitarian government. And we will wonder why all of our freedoms and rights are gone.

But unless we have the courage to get off our collective sofas, put down the remotes and demand to take our country back, nothing will change. The "Republicrats" will continue to maintain their stranglehold on a monopolistic, corrupt two-party system that gives voters little choice - and little voice - in our electoral process.

  4. Yes, we live under a Corporate Oligarchy.  Corporations outsourcing, allowing illegal immigrants to flood the local labor markets to drive down local wages, assisting the formation of monopolies calling it de-regulation or regulating and such....  Yeah, the only explanation the government hasn't stopped this stuff out is the corporations control it.

  5. I'm sorry I thought this was common knowledge.  But.......there is no conspiracy.........  Ok that was a stupid statement I know.  But I couldn't resist.  Monkey see monkey do.
