  1. There may have been a time, in times past when one could have claimed such a thing. But now day's, unless the country boy has grown up on a farm or ranch. I seriously doubt it. City boys are very likely to go out hiking, or some other weekend activities that keep them just as physically fit as the country boys!!

  2. country boy are big if they live on a farm and its all real mussel not the protean shake stuff but when it comes to the fight the townies will most probably win

but in rugby were you need stamina the country will win

  3. Pah no, townies are the badest

  4. i think they are as when i play they always seem to be bigger and stronger

  5. Townies can be a lot more vicious. I'd rather have a punch up with country boys, any day.

  6. Ofcourse country people are harder. city people spend all their time sitting round doing nothing and watching tv.

Country people people have to pick up hay and shear sheep and stuff.

Growing up on a farm makes u way harder than going round being a tryhard gangsta and getting ur self killed by real 1s.

  7. All that physical labour makes for hard muscle. Mmmmm.....

  8. I think it depends on their job. Welsh rugby players were traditionaly miners, steel workers and farmers in the forwards and p.e. teachers in the backs. I suppose if you do live in the countryside, you're more likely to be doing tough manual work that would help with your strength and fitness.

  9. country boys they have lots of tonka toys have ya seen the size of some of there tractors. Nothing like watching a farmer boy tackle a sheep to the ground and shear it positively brings you out in goose bumps :)

  10. id say your as tough as you make your self..

some city boys just sit on their asses, where some like me, train everyday in the gym and run in athletics...

same goes with farm boys, they can be tough, or they can be weak... just depends on how you want to treat it.

  11. i guess that would depend on the city and the where in the world you're talking about... and for what purpose... are you fighting them?  are there guns involved? are we playing rugby?

    im in the US

if you're talking NYC/ surrounding area country folk... i'd definitely say that the townies are tougher because of all the gangs, muggings, thefts, etc.  the immediate counrty folk around NYC are some of the richest in the nation... in westcher county- thats not REALLY country living tho...so go a little further into the country and i'm still not convinced theyre any tougher.

but if you're talking about the country folk in the southern USA... the real red neck country bumpkins... the rebel flag- shot gun carrying kind- then yeah- the counrty boys win.  they are stubborn, ignorant, closed minded people and that is VERY scary... some have not even come to the realization that the north won the civil war!!!  and that is scary as h**l! msot of the cities in the south seem like they have the $$ and beautiful historic homes...not tough at all (unless you go to the ghetto while in the city... and then all bets are off.  those areas are REALLY tough... becasue they have years of oppression and poverty... some claiming from the backlash of slavery... that they have lived in. they are real angry witht he system run by the rich.

if were talking about rugby... then id say the townies have the speed, manuvering and agility (you know from evading the police- ha ha) needed to be a back line player.  the country folk have the muscle, brawn, and stamina of forward players...they are stubborn, persistent and have the strenght from lifting hay bales and shoveling horse p**p.

so we're back to the same old question... who is tougher?  a back or a forward?

ps- im not really one that uses streotypes... so sorry if i offended anyone- thsoe were satirical comments based on over-generalizations of the areas ive lived near...

  12. I don't know, i can imagine all the manual labour of a countyr dweller would make them strong but there's always a friendly atmosphere in rural villages. I just can't imagine they'd have fighting experience. Cities on the other hand, are rife with violence.

I can see both arguments here (i live in a semi-rural area, next to a farm but quite near to a big city).

  13. Country boys by far....... come on......... do yeah just think that the hay bales and the work around the farm got done all by itself??? HAHAHA a real country boy would have all that funn stuff to do every signal day. I don't believe that  townies have that........... but that's just me

  14. Speaking from experience (I go to a school which has pupils from both rural & urban areas), the rural pupils are tougher.

There are some urban student's which are strong...but all the rural's are hard as nails. ....One's a little strange though.

  15. they aint called the mean streets fo nuthin ya dig?
