Are crop circles messages from alien life?

Question

Now I'm not talking about the simple basic ones, I'm talking about the hugely intricate and complicated ones. Given that they are completed in the space of a few hours during the night, can anyone give a plausible explination as to how they are made? Don't tell me it's a couple of pranksters with string and a piece of wood....If in doubt take a look at some pics of them on the net.

The problem with your question is that they specifically ARE made by pranksters with strings and pieces of wood - at least, the highly complex patterns made by the original group years back were, and they demonstrated how to do precisely that.

It is reasonable to assume that present-day 'crop circles' are created using the same method.

They are human made.  I've seen the pictures.  Anyone can do it with some planning.  It's really not hard.  Here's a good one.

No, they are actually messages from a hyper intelligent race of groundhogs from right here on earth, who are protesting the continued violation of their territorial claims, as well as (we think) the destruction of the rain forests and perhaps global warming.

Far fetched?  You bet, but at least I have SEEN groundhogs....
