  1. Cucumbers contain a lot of water, and probably aren't flammable under any conditions.

    Most substances don't burn well in zero-G.  In fact, if the burn, they tend to go out pretty quickly.

    That's because as they burn they produce CO2.  Since there is no gravity, there is nothing to drive convection and the CO2 just hangs around whatever is burning and begins to limit the amount of O2 that can reach the fuel, so the fire tends to go out pretty quickly for lack of oxygen.


  2. Gravity has no effect on flammability. So the answer is certainly NO. However, they might be flammable in hyperbaric oxygen...
