Are curved out hips a problem on a female?

I was babysitting for my doctor one day and he came home for lunch one day and was swimming with the kids. Well I was in my swimsuit and I was sitting on the edge of the pool with my feet tucked behind me in a strange position i've always been able to do as a kid.

Well my doctor commented on how he'd seen me do that before just sitting on the floor with the baby and said that he in my swimsuit he could tell that my hips were curved out more than usual.

Well I didn't think anything of it until I noticed that my boyfriend liked to play with my hips and I realized that they aren't as curved in as a normal females and that they are actually more straight, or less curved like a males.

I was wondering if that was the cause of some condition and if it would be an issue with child-bearing/childbirth.

  1. Ask your doctor.

  2. You lost me

Are they curved out more than usual? Or are they actually more straight, less curved like a males?

    you said two opposite things

  3. Well you have probably developed a habit of sitting in a position that has developed your bones a little different than normal.  You should probably avoid sitting in that position.  But as to it affecting childbirth - that is not likely unless it somehow presses in on your hips and causes you to have a narrow pelvic cavity.  If your pelvic cavity is too narrow for birth you will need surgery for childbirth.

  4. I'm confused as well.

My hips go out but that's just because I have hips. Nothing wrong with curves. I'm not really understanding you but I wouldn't stress about it. Have someone take a look and visit a gyno to see. Good luck!

  5. yeah! sorry ^_^
