Are deactivated weapons legal in France?

Anyway, unlike the UK, France and Belgium have banned some uncertified lookalike weapons, so I expect they take a dim view of deactivated weapons. I'd guess they're illegal - check with a French Embassy or the French Police authority if you're thinking about trying to taking one there.
