  1. omg... i hope that does not happen. it's just a race. wow if that happened that person should be locked away for many years! the drivers are out to entertaine us while making a living. so i don't think fans would do such a thing and disgrace the name of NASCAR

  2. sometimes people  LIKE I INVENTED NASCAR will say certian things such as death threts to drivers like Dale jr just because he/dosent like that driver

I find this sad NASCAR drivers drive for a carrer and for entertainment for the fans and half the fans are so unthankful for them and don't appriciate what NASCAR drivers do

  3. Alcohol is funny stuff,,

  4. I think Joe Bidell is a friggin r****d

  5. i don't know if "credible" threats are commonplace, but there have been more than a few. there were plenty of irate jr fans threatening kyle played on "wind tunnel" the day after richmond, but no death threats, according to kyle's people.

i have read that junior and michael waltrip once addressed fans regarding death threats to sterling marlin after dale sr. died.

even the guy who made the seat belt that earnhardt was wearing was deluged with death threats, amongst other things.

and there was an all-star race where rusty wallace had to be escorted out in an armored vehicle (?) when a "fan" called in and said "the driver of that #2 will never make it out of here alive." humpy wheeler told that story last year, and rusty semi-confirmed yesterday on "nascar now."

and earnhardt sr. was threatened in a letter after spinning bill elliot in charlotte in 1987. and there have been threats made to darrell waltrip.

other than that, most are just fans blowing off steam. any credible threats (and many not-so-credible threats) can now be prosecuted as "terrorist threats" carrying pretty harsh penalties.

  6. only 1 i really remeber was in 2001 when Dale Sr was killed and everybody wanted the #40 dead

  7. No, I've only heard of one.  Sterling Marlin received death threats after Dale Earnhardt, Sr.'s death.

At the next race, Dale, Jr. made it clear that he didn't blame Marlin.  He made a point of putting his arm around Sterling's shoulder at driver introductions.  'Nuff said.

  8. I wouldn't say death threats are that common, but Jr.'s fans would litter the track with trash if they wouldn't get thrown out by security. Heck when Gordon won 'Dega one year, I could of sworn I saw a VIDEO CAMERA on the track. Let's make a point clear that I'm not insulting Jr. or his fans. After all, I'm a Jr. fan too and I got ticked when Busch spun him out at Richmond.

  9. Other than throwing beer cans, never heard of any threats.

  10. Jr nation throws beer cans at other drivers

    that's a threat

There so sad        Jr is Overrated

  11. Threats have been made toward drivers sincw the 50's.When NASCAR gets reports of these the drivers are watched by NASCAR and the crowd is monitored as best NASCAR can do.

  12. When all the fans are related (cousins, uncles, aunts, brother and sister) and drunk....YES.

    Neck-Car fans...you gotta' love them.
