I am planning to have dental implants,6 upper jaw and 5 lower jaw total 11....is it worth spending lots of money and time for those implants besides I've had gum disease before therefore lost most of my teeth and my dentist (endodontist) told me that implants may last lifetime is it true? thanks in advance

  1. I had a partial before I got my dental implants. Hated it as food would go under it and it hurt to eat. Now I have 8 implants on top and 6 on the bottom. I have a fixed prosthesis that is attached with screws. See my avatar? That is my new smile.

Worth it? OH MY YES. Sorry to seem as if I am yelling with all the caps but that is how enthusiastic I am about my new smile.  I was also told that mine will last my lifetime. The implants go into the bone and bond with the bones to become almost part of the bone itself. Your new smile will  be strong and beautiful. You will be able to eat anything you want without damaging the implants however, you might want to be careful what you bite as you can damage the teeth. For example: I was told no chomping on ice. That can damage natural teeth as well. Feel free to write to me if you want.
