I really want to go to the dentist to get my teeth checked out as they are killing me. I can't drink anything without intense pain anymore. I just want to know, if they do find out, are they supposed to tell someone? I really don't want to get into anything I can't get back out of.

  1. no, they are your doctor and you are not breaking the law, so if you tell them not to tell anyone they can't, you have patient privileges.

  2. they can tell about that kinda ****?!?!

  3. u really shouldnt throw up i do it to an i dont know why .. lol but sweety u shouldnt do that

  4. Yes and no. Are you a minor? If so, then yes, they MIGHT be obligated to inform your parents of this condition as this is a form of abuse, even though it is self-abuse. Bulemia is considered a serious mental condition needing treatment. It is morally right to inform your parents, though they might not be legally required to do so. As an adult, this condition is between you and your dentist and no one else is required to be informed, at least not by law. The reason you are feeling such pain is the enamel of your teeth is being eaten away, dissolved, from the stomach acid which comes up and is exposing the nerve endings in your teeth. This condition, the dissolving of the enamel, will be completely obvious to any casual inspection by a trained dentist. Simply by looking, your dentist, ANY dentist, will KNOW of your condition. Your teeth are ALIVE just like your skin and as such, will encounter pain if damaged as with any wound to any part of your body. Don't do the crime if you can't do the time...

  5. tell them you have really bad acid reflex and youre seeing a doctor about it. or just tell them the truth and tell them youre getting therapy. but either way its none of their business theyre just there to fix your teeth!

    good luckk

  6. they can if your a minor and believe that you are hurting yourself. they may even ask you.

Dentists and nurses are allowed to report any abuse or self harm.
