  1. No cats may be more solitary but they are just as social. Dogs can not like to be around people and cats can not like to be away from people it just depends on the individual animal.


  2. Actually yes dogs are more social than cats. Cats tend to just lay around while dogs love to play and be very active. I hope I helped in some way.

  4. Dogs are pack animals; cats are generally solitary, so in that sense, yes they are.  However most domestic cats if handled by humans at a very young age are very social with humans as adults.

  5. No, not always. I love to watch this group of strays out my window, the interact quite well with each other. My Son has two cats and two dogs and all 4 get along quite well together.

  7. To an extent, yes, dogs are more social than cats. I had two cats that were very unsocial and they would never come out for guests. They even would hide when the pizza man came!

    My new three kittens, however, are VERY social and love to be around company so much.

  9. yes my dog is always jumping on peopel when they come over, he always wants to sit with me, but my cats a freak, she runs away from every one even me!!!! i cant even pat her that much she gets scared yea shes wierd
