  1. safer?? umm no! they can actually have small pebbles/rocks mixed in with them and if you dont see them while soaking or cooking you can eat it and break yur tooth

they are HEALTHIER then canned beans because canned has lots of sodium added

  2. NO BEANS ARE SAFE FROM THE FARTINATOR!!!

  3. The biggest difference in dried and canned beans is really the taste-- one is equally as safe as the other, just be sure after opening the can to put the rest of it in a separate container, DO NOT leave it in the can.

The best beans are fresh ones, in pods, but these require LOTS of work. However, they obviously are the safest option. I personally think that dried beans are better than canned beans because they don't have all the chemicals/preservatives that canned beans do (and last a lot longer), and in this sense, yes, they are safer, however, they are also a lot more annoying, ie you need to soak them in and advance and/or boil them in advance.

  4. it depends on your idea of safe.. mold can develop in dry beans if water gets in to the bag due to a really small hole... canned beans can expire if you don't find the date so its totally your risk
